Don’t ever, ever tell women to go to the gym, for any reason. I’m not saying the basis of your request/suggestion is not rational, or even that it is malicious. I am saying, dudes, you have no idea what it is to live in a culture that hates your body, day in and day out, fat or thin, flat-chested or big-chested, redheaded or brunette, short or tall. You have no idea how much of that we store in a little rabbit hole of self-hatred we climb into every now and again. Dudes, don’t contribute to the pile.i support this and would like to remind women that this is a two-way street. boney mcbeergut here doesn’t have much of a healthy self-image either.

i agree with both sides of the argument. don’t make any comments about anyone’s body unless the comment ends with “and that’s why i would totally sleep with you.”
