"Empathy for one party is always prejudice against another."

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Alabama (via brooklynmutt)

Um… no it’s not.  At least it’s not if you aren’t a bitter racist nutbag like Jeff Sessions.  Empathy is not a finite resource, you don’t lose your empathy for the rest of mankind simply because you have empathy for one person.  If anything, the opposite is true.  His cracked out Klan definition of “empathy” is something else entirely - sectarianism, maybe?

Wow.

(via enjoli) You think Alabama politics are retarded from the outside?? Try having to live here! >_ (via jessnectar)

even better — try being from alabama and going all the way to washington, dc to try to talk to him about the health care crisis, just for him to be away on business and send in his “health care people” to tell us all of the following:

— no really, he does want people to get healthcare.

—you can tell sessions cares because he promotes prostate cancer awareness.  (because everyone alive has a prostate.)

—some people don’t have healthcare because they CHOOSE not to have healthcare.  (i’m sure all 47 million in the US are those cases.)

—he voted against the S-CHIP bill which offers AllKids insurance to children, because he thought it was an unnecessary expense.

okay, that is all.  i rarely get political, but that’s my jeff sessions experience, and i’m not a fan of him.
